DESCRIPTION
In Terreiro do Paço - Lisbon's historic waterfront square from where the 15th century Portuguese explorers departed in their quests to dicover the New World - is, amongst many things, home of one of the most special wine tasting rooms in the country (and one of the most popular amongst the locals): the Sala Ogival (the 'Ogival Room'.
Oozing with style, tastefully renovated spaces and a beautifully-kept arcade room as a cellar, this space boasts well over 200 different types of wine, most of which that can be tasted by the public.
As you enter the Sala, your very own enologist will present the (many) different types of wines, their attributes - such as aroma, body and balance - and... their taste, of course. You will have the opportunity to try 6 types of wine while at it.
Adjacent to the Sala Ogival, one can kick-back and relax over a delicious glass of wine or local beer in the Sala´s trendy library, or at the bar, where a blend of wine afficionados, connoisseurs, saavy tourists and locals gather for a bit of a brilliant time spent over a glass - or a few - of one of the things this country best produces.
